It's the rules. $1 mil per roll over no matter how many tickets sold. It's more than other state lotteries as far as I know.

Except people have stopped winning the SLP. There have only been 2 winners in the past year. They use to average around 10-12 jackpots a year but the past 2 years it has tanked. Nothing has changed about the games either.

The CA lottery jackpot is $44millions tonight. Powerball can be a tricky beast because winning it will make it hard to stay invisible. There are a ton of people in CA who share my first and last names. Maybe I should bet on CA SLP rather than PB.

As for SLP, the actual amount after maximum tax bracket will be $17millions. That's more than enough for me.

I like a wide spread and not numbers in the 70s which is dumb since numbers in the 70s do win. I use to pick my own numbers but no more. They say whether you pick them or QP, the chances are almost identical with QPs having a very slight edge. I dont mind low numbers, tho.

First PB became more expensive but had better odds, now MM is getting as expensive and even harder to win, what is the point?

Bought tickets Freitag in Ohio and gave away one without Powerplay...it would be nice if that is the winning ticket.

We all like to dream. I do too. That's why I buy one ticket for PB. One for MM. One for Texas Lotto. One for Texas 2 Step...(sometimes more than one for that game when the jackpot gets up there).

Where else can a person take a dollar (or two), and have a chance, however small, at millions? Or even $1 million.

Don't go crazy spending 10, 20, 30 bucks on tix. It takes but one ticket. Have fun with it.

In October you can play MM instead, maybe it will take over, and then PB can make it's game even less attractive again. It's a never-ending cycle/race to the bottom.

Good luck, I'm sure you'd find many uses.

The write-up says it's been 21 draws without a winner, I believe that's the same amount of roll-overs Gloria's jackpot took to build, which was $120M if I remember correctly.

Bought a physical ticket @ 0525 before going to work. Bought one for a co-worker and put it inside a piece of printer paper with a note: Time to win the effen lottery; well I used the f bomb.

The biggest gripe I have with PB is PP; it does not mirror MM. The prize stays $2 million regardless of the powerplay # which I believe was 4 this time. MM would give $4 million for that. Anyway anything @ this rate would be most graciously accepted.
