What they needed was the gov to sign the bill for it to take effect which he did:<br /><br />Washington lawmakers pushed a new $43.7 billion budget through the Legislature in less than a day on Friday, working to avoid a partial shutdown of state government that was scheduled to occur at midnight.<br /><br />Gov. Jay Inslee signed the new two-year budget into law at 11:15 p.m., less than an hour before the deadline to avoid the closure of many state agencies</p>]]></description>

They completed the voting a few minutes after 5pm:<br /><br />The state House passed the $43.7 billion 2017-19 state budget late Friday afternoon, just hours before the government was set to partially shut down at midnight. The state Senate passed the budget just before the House by a vote of 39-10. From ball numbers and giving out better payouts to RNG numbers and cutting back on payouts! They even went from a big cardboard check when someone won to some very small paper check...Where does all that money go? Someone in Washington DC need to look into what they are doing behind closed doors!!! I some how feel a Eddie T. case here....</p>]]></description>
