Stage 4 cancer is very bad news to receive. The mercy in this is that he had time to say his goodbyes to his family and friends.

He now waits for judgment day.

Prayers for the family. It's not easy to deal with. I recently was confronted with it. I had surgery January 2 and things were done. However they may not be. I have to go for another check up..

Earlier this month, Donald Savastano won a $1 million New York Lottery scratch-off game and he was making plans.

Being a self-employed carpenter, I didn't really have a plan for retirement, Savastano told the New York Lottery in an interview. The money will help with that.... I'll buy a new truck, pay off some debt and invest for the future.

Just three weeks after he won, Savastano, 51, who grew up on Long Island, died of cancer.
