...and I bet the California lottery partied like it was 1999 in the neighboring states to see how Powerball works. They were working it alright and not talking about the lottery

It's called stalling, plain and simple.We know that 1st hand out here, it's as BD said, we waited for what seemed like decades before PB was allowed here.They had to send a delegation to neighboring States to study how they operate their lottery,oh please. l bet that was not free: hotel accommodations,air fare, dinners etc etc. This guy has been Gov for 6 years, what has he done about advancing this thing? Yet here he is, now talking about openness- right.

Look how long it too California to get Powerball, music*! Don't you think MS will start out small and then bring in the big guns? I do, but that's just my opinion and not worth 2 cents today

One thing I noticed after reading the article...the casinos input. Thought they don't want any competition?

Good for Mississippi if this comes to fruition.

I hope that all the new lottery players in Mississippi are aware of, Beginner's Luck .

I would not be surprised if both MM and PB are won there soon after joining other States.

Republican Governor Phil Bryant appears to be an upstanding person. He wants openness.

Mississippi could be inching closer to creating a lottery and leaving the list of six states that don't offer the game of chance.

The Mississippi House voted 71-43 Friday to pass a lottery bill . That happened a day after the state Senate voted 30-20 for its own version of the same bill.

However, work remains.
