I'm not aware of why Mr. Larrick stepped down.

It's pretty clear the casinos will be running the sports book and not the WVA Lottery so why would Larrick resign over that?

And what is the relationship between a PB winner, Larrick, a new director, sports betting and anything in this article

One day after lawmakers asked tough questions about leadership at the West Virginia Lottery, Gov. Jim Justice has named John Myers as director of the agency.

He replaces Alan Larrick, who resigned Sept. 1, right as sports betting was making its debut at West Virginia casinos. Doug Buffington, deputy secretary for the West Virginia Secretary of Revenue, served as the interim director.
