There was only ONE winner of the 5/5 and that ticket had the megaplier. It was bought in Arkansas.

When you look at the MM website, you will see two columns. On the left is TOTAL WINNERS and on the right is MEGAPLIER WINNERS.

The total number of winners (left column) includes the tickets purchased with the megaplier. The right column shows how many of the total winners (from the left column) chose to add the megaplier when buying their tickets.

I think that the new rankings are now #4 for the Annuity and #7 for the Cash Lump Sum. Although the Annuity is only shy of the #3 ranking by $2 million. I would think that will be reached before Tuesday's draw time.

Anyway, these amounts will revolutionize a winner's life. Sometimes change can be difficult to move through.

I will consult with a psychiatrist and psychologist soon after winning. The emotional challenges will need attention.

I beat the about 93% of all the tickets that won't match a single number or the bonus number by matching one number. With only 4.17% of all the tickets winning something, MM is not exactly the best game to play, but a couple of bucks when it looks like the jackpot should be won isn't that bad of a bet.

Since I live in NYC, the annuity would have to be around $728 mil for the cash amount to be $408 mil. Then, less Federal, NY State and NY City taxes, the ATTH would be about $200 mil.

I know some people in their early 80s that can really party so I have no doubt age isn t a factor in enjoying that kind of money.

This is a great time to win a huge jackpot and be generous with loved ones. With the lifetime gift exclusion hiked to $11,180,000 you could very generously give to family and not have to worry about gift tax. Interesting article. You have to pay extra bucks in lawyer/acct/manager fees plus forgo any tax deductions. IOW, you have to be filthy rich. The person they profiled is a muti billionaire. He says it's so people dont come out of the woodwork begging and so he doesnt get harassed for making the donations he wants to make. Is it worth it? I think so -- if you got the bucks.

The old way is to say that the stocks that are sold to you are suitable . This is a much lower standard.
