My friend is a computer tech, programmer, etc. He can tell me exactly. Here is the interesting part. I know 5 different accoutants, I know someone in my fathers side of the family who does planning finances etc. Yes whoever it is keep their mouth shut.

Maybe I will go on that site seeking arrangements and get a hot sugar baby. Take care of her she takes care of me.

No. This comes up all the time. Name changes are part of the public record....unless there is some very rare and unusual deal cut with you being an informant...a major one, etc. Winning the lottery is not a justification to ask for secrecy with a court.

That may be true in theory. In practice, when Gloria MacKenzie went to get her huge jackpot, the Florida Lottery called the press so they were waiting for her after she went through the claiming process. This was according to the person who was representing her. They basically threw an 84 year old woman under the bus. So if you want to keep your true likeness out of the papers you might want to invest in a disguise before you head over to pick up your money.

Hmm I wonder why so many of the big winners in FL have there pictures taken. That 20yr old who won big comes to mind. If i play in VA the rules on valottery,com say

The odds of hitting the jackpot in Mega Millions is 1 in 302,575,350 and the odds of hitting the jackpot in Power Ball is only 1 in 292,201,338.00.

Maybe people are just playing more because they feel they have a better chance of winning Power Ball over Mega Millions.

Call a Lawyer, YES.....and I've often thought I might also change my name legally and then claim the jackpot, use a common unisex name ie: Pat Smith. Takes a bit of time but might be worth it. Then go rent a little apartment or a UPS Mail Box in a large city AWAY from where you really live to use as your claiming address on your Drivers License and for the for the city listed on the press release. Maybe then change your name back

The sales are crazy when comparing the two...here's an example.

1.) Last night PB jackpot saw a total of $119.7 Million in sales for a jackpot of $345 million meanwhile:

2.) Mega millions saw a total of $49.35 million in sales on October 2,2018 when the jackpot was $367 million. That means that people are spending more than 2x for a Power ball ticket right now.
