I think it's entirely possible that they don't have a clue what's going to happen. They've got sales data that we don't, but that may not tell them enough. I figure MM could have come up short because th two large jackpots have resulted in people spending enough that sales will continue to be modest, or it could be because PB is more popular and MM's sales were only held back because people played PB instead of or in addition to MM.

Possible, but unlikely. If they truly believe it could go up to 900, they would advertise at 900 or at least 850 to get the excitement needed to generate the increase. I have huge doubt that they'll be any increase if it rolls tonight.

It definitely looks like MUSL was smart enough to learn from MM missing their overly optimistic estimate. Unless people spent all their money I'd imagine a roll will go well beyond 750, and I'm sure that's what MUSL is thinking. They're just being smart enough to make sure they don't get caught out claiming an increase of 300 million and coming up short.

The big question isn't for tonight's jackpot, it's what the rollover amount will be. If it will increase to 900 or so then we'll see a 1.6B or so jackpot for Halloween. But jackpot fatigue might mean it'll only go up to 750 or so and we'll have to endure weeks until it gets up there.

I know none of the tickets I bought won. Well, they say you can't win if you don't play. So I played. Only had $16, so I got 6 tickets on Saturday morning and 2 Powerball tickets. Tomorrow I'll scrape together 4 or 6$$ and splurge that on the Powerball in the morning. Kinda sucks it wasn't me that hit the 'big one', but the one who did, Congrats!! It don't suck to be You!! 1-59 has 60 combinations for QP's to work with, 60-70 has 11 combinations for QP's to work with, the chances of a QP choosing 3 out 5 numbers in the tiny range is very very low. There's a reason the 1.5 Billion PB in 2016 wasn't able to be won until the highest number was only in the 30's.
