The greedy bastar*s in Montgomery can't figure a way to get their greedy meat grabbers into the till and until that is done Bama wont have a lottery.

Alabama, Mississippi people already go to Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, or Louisiana for their lottery numbers. They've been doing that for decades now. They already know how to play the lottery, it will not be something new for them.

Just an idea: If they were to pass lotto legislation, consider making AL an anonymous state. True, transparency is a huge issue with lotto, but it's an idea. I would consider crossing the border if that were the case

Multi-state lotteries like Powerball are bad for low-population states like Alabama because the jackpot winner will most likely be from a high-pop state, which means it's just money flowing out of Alabama. I hope they offer enough in-state draw games to attract would-be Powerball and Mega Millions players. You can't go wrong with classic 5/39 and 6/49 games, Pick 3/4, and scratch offs. Poor people love them some scratch offs

One of the most influential men in Alabama politics said he expects a statewide lottery and gaming bill to be considered when the Alabama Legislature convenes March 5.
