Mom and I love to play vlt's here in mcminnville at the lounges and restaurants. But we go with a budget I like to drink usually two beers and give my $20 to mom and she plays $40 and drinks a soda. Then we leave she won $5000 the top prize back in 2013. You have to budget your gambling though were ever you go. It is the same with lotto and vlt's and casinos and slots in casinos or table games.-weshar75

Sort of reminds of the people playing penny slot machines expecting to win millions.

Top prize $1000 but the machine said I won $10 billion .

Here in California, I thank both the legislature and the voters for not introducing VLTs.

Ask our neighbor to the North, Oregon what they think of this lawsuit.

I hope that the Courts protect players and ban VLTs.

Not sure what they call the machines @ what appears to be a casino in Louisville, KY. We went there Saturday night. They might be VLT as slot machines are technically illegal in Kentucky. They 'skirt' the law because the slot machines are based on previous horse races. There is a button you can push to see what the race results were, all past races. These games however have nothing to do with a horse race, looks and acts like a regular slot machine. I didn't see anyone checking race results.... [ More ]

.. if the game is inherent addictive, why are you playing it? if cigarettes alcohol are addictive to you, you want nothing to do with either, what is your reasonable course of action? Just because some dogs look cute, it does not mean they dont bite- if you get my drift.

An intriguing court case that alleges Crown-owned video lottery terminals are inherently deceptive and violate the Criminal Code has reached a critical milestone in Newfoundland and Labrador.

And the outcome of the case could have implications for VLT gaming across Canada.

The Newfoundland and Labrador Court of Appeal has cleared the way for a class-action lawsuit to go ahead, rejecting arguments for dismissal from the Atlantic Lottery Corp., which operates in all four Atlantic Provinces.
