That would give me two more options to buy lottery tickets. As long as the numbers aren't RNG. Alabama needs swirling ball drawings.

If the proposal is approved, the idea would go to a statewide vote.

Apparently IF they disapprove of a state lottery, it doesn't matter what the voters want.

Is this the second time voters got to decide on a lottery there. Can't remember how many years ago it was, but there were signs in AL all over the place saying vote for the lottery. What happened to that vote

My guesses are: the committee approves it and it goes before the Senate for a vote.

The voters will approve it but it will be a closer vote than most think.

Alabama lawmakers are heading toward a vote on lottery legislation, with the goal of eventually putting the proposal up to a statewide vote.

The Senate Tourism and Marketing Committee will vote on a lottery bill Tuesday. Senate President Pro Tempore Del Marsh says his goal is to get a bill before the full Senate on Thursday.
