Beginner's Luck strikes again! I do believe in it. A very happy day for this couple in Oregon!

Oregon has another beginner's luck story. A couple and their three children were living in a cabin. Where the rent is very low. The family was getting snacks and the husband spent some of their precious money on lottery tickets. He asked the clerk to give him a ticket for a Lottery Draw game. They won $1,000,000.00 They tithed 10% to their Church. Paid the taxes.

Reminds me to powerplay the next time I play powerball but for tomorrow I bought a $5 trio tickets so it is a $2 ticket. Any ways congrats to the lucky couple for a good mistake to make in your favor.-weshar75

The news of that poor old gentleman who just bought lottery tickets was unsettling. It showed him almost out of the store and they cut it off just before his stabbings. Another one in Louisville, KY a guy just won a few thousand I think in a store. Goes outside robbed and killed. Anonymity wouldn't have helped these poor souls, but agree, it should be up to the player.

Oregon sure has some strange lottery stories IMHO. Wish I was confused when buying ticket. The other story I'm referring to was that guy from Iraq who bought a huge jackpot ticket through a lottery service and was able to keep anonymous.

OTOH Wisconsin lottery set to announce the big Powerball winner there this afternoon.

Another sad lottery story coming here on the news @ noon, guy killed in Louisville, KY for having a winning lottery ticket.

A novice lottery player in Oregon who ended up confused while trying to buy a Powerball ticket had his inexperience pay off when he won $150,000.

Michael Faught of Lebanon told Oregon Lottery officials he and his wife were on a roadtrip when they decided to buy some Powerball tickets, which they rarely do, at the Food for Less store in Medford.

Faught said he ended up making a purchase he didn't intend when he didn't understand the clerk's questions.
