Finally found it on page 3 of Pick 3 Prediction forum. The Illinois lottery changed their Fireball feature because of the magic pairs.

I was thinking more of extra bet features like sum it up . The Texas Lottery replaced sum it up with fireball , but why not offer players both

Go to TX lottery website. Click on how to play on either Pick 3 or Pick 4. Follow down until you see the combinations. They are exactly the same as KY, but if you want str/box it says for a little more money you can do this. KY it is usually a $1 depending on wager. So it is already there.

When Illinois started their version of Fireball, I always believed it was better than adding a box bet.

One of these days, the Texas Lottery is going to add all possible pick-3 and pick-4 wagers; any digit, any digit in any order, sum, etc. The payoffs will be proportional to the odds with the lottery's 50% take.

Replaces Sum It Up feature

Texas Lottery players will soon have more chances to win when they play Pick 3 and Daily 4 by purchasing Fireball, a new add-on feature for both daily draw games.

Fireball will replace the Sum It Up! feature starting Sunday, April 28. The first drawings for Pick 3 plus Fireball and Daily 4 plus Fireball will be Monday, April 29.
