noise-gate, I am imagining myself accepting the check that is made out for $261,364,000.00 That is the cash value after 24% is sent to the IRS.

From the date that I claim my prize it will take six weeks to process it. If there are no problems.

We have a choice of having it sent to me by USPS or sent to the Lottery District Office for me to pick it up there.

You know since PB was won I'm thinking that it reaches the full amount.

Its 2PM on Friday and they haven't bumped the advertised amount. What they have done is announced that after the $55 million increase advertised for this drawing a rollover will increase the advertised jackpot by $45 million. I haven't seen any figures, so maybe the last one topped out a bit higher than the advertised $475, but I thought the $55 million increase was a bit optimistic.

I knew the jackpot was $475 million, but buying tickets just wasn't a priority and I didn't buy any. If they increase the $530 million pot, I'll make it a priority and buy a few tickets.

There were long lines at the local Walmart on the 1st, but they don't sell lottery tickets.

People become so accustomed to losing that high dollar jackpots can sometimes be viewed as an annoyance. The only time l see long lines, is when Costco opens its doors at 8:45am.

There has already been evidence of lottery fatigue in last weekend's PB drawing. Instead of the predicted $350 M, the jackpot was $344.6 M.

So, what do you think? Will Friday's MM reach $530 M or fall short again

Interesting that an over half billion jackpot and a $344 million cash value are not even in the Top Ten. It really shows how much MM and PB evolved. The downside is while the games are producing monster jackpots, they are seldom shared by multiple winners.

If history repeats, about 57 million tickets will be sold for the next drawing opening the door for another roll-over.

Thanks -- I know it's putting the cart before the Horse, but I know myself, like to daydream and feel if the Lottery Fairy were to ever strike me with a jackpot win, it would be much easier for me to follow an already written plan rather than get caught up in the moment and do something irrational.

Here's my Powerball sheet for example. I just update the cash value each draw, it auto calculates everything and the new excess rolls to the Tax Free Muni Bond Funds until I manually insert another Real Estate investment or add an investment to what I would give my Brother. All of the blue links in the spreadsheet link directly to the corresponding investment idea or specific real estate.

If the winner/s live in a lottery tax free State than he/she will have $216,657,000.00 This includes the 13% tax that will be due by April 15, 2020. Earnings during the rest of the year 2019 will increase the amount of taxes owed.

This cash amount is difficult for me to wrap my mind around it. I will definitely be able to hire the best financial advisers.
