NY is corrupt. The Education goals they set are woefully lacking. Lock Cuomo up. Lock up Nadler too. Put them in a cell with Jeffrey Epstein. The Lottery Money for Education is not making anybody smarter. Drain the NY Lottery Swamp.

This is all speculation on my part and l could be wrong, but l don't see Dawson winning. The other States that were part of the Hot Lotto drawing at the time could easily say Our State residents lost money on that rigged draw, why should we now forward our money to Larry?

Apart from this case, l am waiting for the follow-up story about Hung, our lead hand jackpot winner in Canada. That's a really juicy piece its no wonder it is still mentally marinating.

If an Iowa court rules in favor of Larry Dawson it would effect MUSL, but NY might get a pass because they weren't members during the Hot Lotto scandal.

Good questions. As far as I can tell from the article, the main benefit is Gweneth Dean will join the MUSL Board of Directors and the Powerball Product Group as a voting member. So NY Lottery now has more of a say in the development of Powerball. Considering the historical frequency of PB matrix changes, they are about due for a change.

Just took a look at The NY Lottery's website.

I doubt there are any benefits for players by The NY Lottery joining MUSL. If there was, they'd be blabbing it all over their website, which they're not. There's a lotta talk on their website about Cash 4 Life now being drawn daily, but nobody I know who is a regular lottery player cares about that. G5

Good news for The NY Lottery ? How so?

As I read the article, I was curious about a few things;

1. The NYL wasn't a member of MUSL? Why not? What's the reason that kept them from joining?

2. There has to be something in it for The NYL, or they woudn't have decided to join MUSL. I wonder what their motivation is? Is it for the benefit of The NYL, or is it good or NYL PLAYERS?

In a way States are competing against each other for the jackpots in MM PB.

Mega Millions and Powerball (MUSL) maintain their own memberships, and they are sold in states not belonging to the membership through a cross-selling agreement.

California is not listed in the related link of MUSL. CA joined PB in the Spring of 2013. So, I guess CA is not a member of MUSL.

Something lost in translation to me on this story. I always assumed---and we know what that spells--that in order to sell PB you had to be a member of MUSL.

In any way, this is good news for NY Lottery it seems.
