Sounds like a good read. Will see if the big on-line retailer has it and buy a copy.

Am glad this is privileged information for the reporter. If the prosecution wants more information on Tipton et al let them dig it up like he did.

Yes, this story was published right after the last one that indicated the records were subpoenaed. In my view both stories contain useful and pertinent information, so they were both worthy of publication and preserve the story timeline documented by Lottery Post over the many years this scandal has reverberated.

Lawyers reversed course on Tuesday and dropped a subpoena in which they had ordered an Iowa journalist to turn over notes related to his book about a lottery industry insider who rigged jackpots in several states.

The withdrawal of the subpoena for journalist Perry Beeman's notes came hours after The Associated Press reported that it had been issued and sought materials that were likely protected by Iowa's reporter privilege law.
