LOL, good old mayor for life Barry. If it wasn t drugs and prostitues it was giving contracts to his girlfriend admittedly a long time DC tradition.

I wouldn t be surprised to find out there is more to this story and someone either on the council or up there in the DC hierarchy is sweating a little right now.

WOW!! Wonder how long it will take to find a money trail from the Greek firm (which would include the fake VSC) to the DC lawmakers? Shouldn't be hard to find since they are so OPEN NOT AFRAID about faking VSC being a real company.

This is the story I read before commenting on the DOJ sports betting case. And after reading about Bailey, I'm wondering if this is an effort to stop sports betting at least in D.C.

I did ask friends if they thought the difficulty getting DC to pay court awards was intentional and they said no. It was just massive incompetence in DC government.

DC government is notorious for not being able to manage their own affairs. This is the major reason proposed statehood fails each time. I have a couple of attorney friends who make a good living filing cases against DC government but when they win, they have to file another action to compel DC to pay.

The Greek company Intralot, which last month received a $215 million contract to bring sports gambling to the nation's capital and to continue running its lottery, says more than half the work will go to a small D.C. firm a condition that helped the gaming giant win the no-bid contract.

The firm, Veterans Services Corp., will perform the ENTIRE subcontract with its own organization and resources, according to a document signed this summer by a top Intralot executive.
