As near as I can tell she didn't even joke about quitting her job. There are things you can say that have multiple meanings, but not coming in tomorrow doesn't mean I'm quitting . Even if she had said I'm quitting doing it while covering the lottery drawing doesn't mean that she gave notice, let alone really quit her job. That's what I read in another article, that she said she wasn't coming in to work the next day, not quit altogether, I think she was starting her vacation soon anyway, who knows...

If she meant it, she looked just as silly as the one who quit live on air to sell marijuana

It's unclear if Escudero is still an employee at RTVE.

Maybe she was just having fun with the other winners and joking about quitting her job. Like someone else said, $400K isn't exactly enough for anyone her age to retire on.
