You might be able to use a debit card at some retailers, but not a credit card. I would plan for cash.

Don't play scratchers per se, but right on time for our flight to Borgata very soon...look out slot machines and NJ Lottery.

That does not sound the least bit exciting to me. So the physical size of the ticket is bigger...Yawn.

Awhile back, I suggested a scratcher to the Michigan lottery for its upcomming 50th and I'll just say that I suggested a lot more exciting prizes than what they have had in the previous 50 years and leave it at that in hopes that they actually use my suggestion. (BTW I also pointed out how they could do it based on past tickets).

Required retailers to install special 'double-wide' bins

To honor its 50 years in operation, the New Jersey Lottery Monday released literally its biggest instant game ever: the Super 50 Scratch-Off.

At a full 8 inches wide and 12 inches tall, the new game is more than double the size of any prior scratch-off ticket in the state. It's so big, the game is housed in special double-wide bin available at most of the state's 7000 Lottery retailers.... [ More ]
