Texas Lottery should let you upload your lottery receipts to your phone to claim a prize in lieu of the actual receipt paper. This way you have the ticket with you at all times.

Texans might miss the Power Play and Megaplier. Which are not available for Receipt Tickets .

Cash register receipts ink fades and the paper can't handle moisture as well as regular lottery tickets so I can see a lot of unreadable receipts. I think it's a bad idea. Let us purchase them online.

It's a double edged sword.

Good for those who hang onto receipts, bad for those who look at receipts as garbage need to be trashed or recycled. I can just see an elderly bent over senior citizen pleading with lottery officials l threw away my $50mil lottery receipt thinking it was trash, please help me.

Or a 19 year old claiming he knew he was the winner but got pretty loaded with he's friends a few nights ago somehow cannot remember where he placed his ticket. He knows these friends from... [ More ]
