We're not getting much for our money when just two tickets in each weekly drawing costs over $800 a year. Especially considering the probable payoff is about $10. Some say the large jackpots justify the playing, which is true but jackpot winning drawings are few and far between.

Stack 47, your last sentence speaks volumes. One thing that always bothers me with Powerball/Powerplay that regardless if the PP number is higher than two, it still stays $2 million. So what if you had five #'s and Powerplay of 10, you still get 'just' $2 million. Not that I'd mind that one bit. At least with Megamillions it can go up to five and give secondary prize of $5 million. Like I said sometime ago, time to merge the lotteries to call it Megapowerball....LOL. The PB ticket was probably a QP, but most players pick their pick-4 straight wagers. Either way, the store made a couple bucks extra.

One gas station in Baton Rouge might find more players frequenting its store for a dab of luck since it sold two winning lottery tickets within one week.

The RaceTrac convenience store on South Sherwood Forest Boulevard received a lot of attention this week after selling two winning tickets for a Pick 4 prize worth $5,000 and a Powerball prize valued at $150,000.
