I have my ticket Bought online in Sweden where The Lotter now have been granted permission to sell bets on the outcome. They do not longer buy tickets in person. The Swedish license only allows betting.

No matter how you manage it, buying in TX gives you an extra option for remaining anonymous. Buying in any state that doesn't have an income tax on prizes from their lottery almost certainly gives you the option of moving and reducing your income taxes. Or try to buy in your own state if you'd rather pay the taxes and not relocate.

Totally agree, that Powerball second prize in California is looking great right now, so I'd go heavy on Powerball if I lived in the state.

I'm picking a nit here, but the only word I'd change in the above sentence is the word 'player'. I'd change it to 'players'.

While it'd be great if one player won it all, that's not what typically happens when we see jackpots as large as this one is. Multiple winners doesn't always happen, (as was noted in the article) but it seems to me that it does happen more often than no... [ More ]

I would be happy with $10,000 or a cool million on mega millions and $50,000 or a cool million on Powerball. I got my tickets over the weekend for both games and I used megaplier and powerplay for both. So come on big money show Oregon some love.-weshar75

They do buy Texas lottery tickets, but only for residents of Texas. If you live elsewhere, still go ahead and click the link for Powerball (or this one for Mega Millions) to see if they have a different purchase option for wherever you live.

Texas allows you to stay anonymous for prizes of a million or more, so you wouldn't even have to put together a trust.

I haven't finished reading their site, but I'm wondering if they buy MM and PB tickets in Texas? Because that would definitely be worth the extra fee to buy from an anon state

This is amazing! Do you think it would be safe to not be anonymous if you win at such a time as this? I know there will be people spending all they have on a hope and yet believing they will win. If they don't win they will plunge into despair.

The chances of winning are slim so play to have a chance to be in the game but use the rest of your money wisely. Good Luck
