in sections 177-046-0110 and 177-046-0100 it says not only can the prize be split among multiple winners, but that a group can even specify the percentage each person gets. So it looks like they are pretty flexible with group wins. I'd think most states would realize group buys are a big portion of sales and make clear. provision... [ More ]

The got $1.3 million each, which is $2.6 million. That's a bit more than 1/3 of the annuity prize, and 1/3 is usually a pretty good rough estimate of how much you'll take home.

I was wondering that too, but after digging some I think they took the cash option. The 7.4 is the annuity option.

I saw the winners tonight on the news and each winner had the fake big check in their hands of $3.7 million big ones until they get the real ones latter on. So they split the prize equally.-weshar75

Todd, does Oregon allow each individual to claim the a prize individually? KY does so that relieves the purchaser from paying all the taxes one ticket which is great! That being said KLC will not do this for on-line purchases

Two friends from Oregon who have shared a friendship for over 40 years are now sharing a $7.4 million Megabucks jackpot.

For 28 weeks now, Erik Maki and Brian Krahmer have been splitting the responsibility of purchasing their joint lottery tickets for the Oregon Lottery's Megabucks game. Now they'll be splitting a fortune to the tune of $7.4 million after hitting the jackpot for the drawing on Sat., Jan 23.
