Congratulations on your retirement.

Mr. Medenica is the type of person whom I admire very much for lottery causes. Thank you for challenging that archaic 1961 Wire Act and making a dent in it. Hope someone comes along and finishes it off so I can buy out of state lottery tickets for MM or PB if I feel like it---on-line.

Texas is the only place that publishes the test results. We could all do better without the tests for sure.

Pre-tests are BS - why they cant run the 1st one that comes out is beyond me.

And we never know what the test run numbers were either here in WI.

I don't know if he had anything to do with it or not, but during his term the state taxes on Md. lottery winnings has gone up to 8.95%. Which is the highest of any state in the country.

Maybe the next director can get that lowered if possible.

Getting rid of pre tests would be great too, but that's probably wishful thinking. Oh, well...

Anyway, I hope he enjoys his retirement

I don't think a lottery corporation would hire someone called Unlucky-Kenny .

It might depress ticket sales.

Maryland Lottery and Gaming Director Gordon Medenica announced on Thursday that he will be retiring from his position as the head of the Agency on June 1.

Appointed by Governor Larry Hogan in 2015, Medenica has had notable success running the Agency, consistently setting revenue and profit records. The fiscal year ending June 30 will be another all-time record for the Maryland Lottery.
