Well, that was back in the day. In case you are wondering why so many states are missing from that list it is because a lot of the states at the time didn't have lotteries. I'm bustin at the seems with cabin fever but don't want to go anywhere while it is snowy.

Never been to California even though I got relatives out there...maybe I will visit and buy some tickets and steal some chips and sandwiches and drinks and then go poop in the street! Hey...when in California do as the Californians... [ More ]

That's one helluva road trip, or five or six. I still think I'd rather do it on the road rather than online for the same reason I don't fly much - I like seeing the country, taking the back roads mostly. Checkin' out the small towns and the backwoods hills and hollers, honky-tonks and such.

Gittin' the itch for a road trip this coming Spring. Probably up north this time, Wisconsin, Minnesota, the Dakotas and maybe back down to Fort Apache Rez to see some old friends and neighbors.

Oh, thanks for reminding me! I swear the older I get the forgeter I get. I got tickets in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Oregon, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Texas, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia and Ontario Canada and Germany...didn't win nothin.

The one I had the most fun with was the Ohio 6/xx game in the mid 90's on which you could win the jackpot or they had raffle like prizes on those tickets every draw too

Family yearly trip from Maryland to Florida. We always stop in each state to purchase tickets. we have never hit anything larger than $100.00, but it's fun to see the different tickets along the way.

Sounds like fun! I did that years ago down through the Carolinas and Georgia and Florida and up through Kentucky and Virginia and West Virginia and Ohio. The only bad part was hitting places like Harlan and Middlesboro Kentucky where they ain't a dadgum saloon ANYWHERE! What in blue blazes is wrong with those people

Ten or fifteen years ago Michigan had more interesting tickets but they changed the designs so as not to entice children.

Jeez...all those numbers! What ever happened to the tickets where you have to match symbols?

I'm still waiting till we can order other states tickets through the mail.

Noticed something I was curious about on the Mass. lottery. I know players there can download an app to their phone. This enables players to scan tickets worth up to $5K. So the lower amount of scratch tickets say Scratch 2 Win whereas the high dollar ones still say Void if removed. Was hoping with the new IGT machines installed several years ago the latter would go away BUT NO. So if you are not savvy the clerk could potentially say 'Sorry not a winner' and keep a winning ticket...IDK!

As a child I remember my parents driving from MA to NH. As soon as you crossed into NH there was a building with a New Hampshire Sweepstakes neon looking sign...and so it began the birth of the modern lottery in this country

Two more lotteries checked off our bucket list

Recently, Lottery Post went on a road trip up the East Coast and made a few pit stops along the way. Why not see what scratch-offs are like in other states?

We picked out a variety of instant games from the Massachusetts Lottery on our way up to New Hampshire. Of course, we had to buy some from New Hampshire as well.

And while it might have been cold and breezy, nothing warms our heart more than a few nice wins.
