Agreed. Legally it was trespassing 101. Quite a double standard but it will help in the midterms.

Yet they release a felon who attempted to murder someone campaigning for office.

If you think this is bad you should look at what some states did after this.

There was a winner in my state (CO) that won a three way prize only to find out later they were the sole winner when it came out the other two winners were associates of tiptons.

They sued the lottery for the other 2/3rds of the prize in a case that made its way all the way up to the ssc who ruled that even though he was the only true winner and entitled to the entire jackpot he was not to get it.

Compare this to the former college coach who took bribes to admit people into college as student athletes who had no athletic ability.

He was just given 2 1/2 years in prison.

He originally got two five year sentences to run consecutively and his crew that were in on the fix ruined their own lives. His defence was he wants people to believe he was scapegoat.

It states taht Tipton was officially released on parole as of Friday, July 25th. The last month where the 25th was on a Friday was in March. Also, it's not even July 25th yet.

He got caught for two reasons.

1) He waited till the last minute to cash the ticket he bought in N.Y. His lawyer filed the claim, and when told they had to do it in person, they never showed up to cash it in.

2) He bought the ticket himself. Lottery officials thought it was strange they didn't show up to claim the money, looked at the store video to see who bought it and recognized his voice on the tape. The rest is history.

When the other gentlemen in the prison hear that you will soon be getting released, the ones that are not on particularly good terms with you will instigate situations with you conducive to accumulating infractions reaching a level necessitating suspension of privileges up to and including parole. I can pretty much guarantee that schmuck wasn't looking for a fight.

So far as part of the conditions of his release includes, no association or affiliation with anything lottery related. If he does not like it, he can take his fraudulent self back to jail.

The lottery office is always trying to find a reason not to pay out and i don't see anything wrong the lottery offices are greedy and crooks themeselves their will be alot of people that will claim their winnings in a trust. I know i would because i don't want or need to go public with my winnings i feel like all states should be anonymous.

Periodically on Kentucky FB page with pictures to play Pick 3/4 et al I put on there for all to see: 13 APR 2020 the day the mechanical ball drawings went away to the dreaded RNG. Looking at the timeline included in the article is a trip down memory lane. It's pretty wild that Lottery Post has been covering this story for 11 years now, starting before any kind of crime was known about, to inklings of something wrong, to conviction and imprisonment, to parole.

My only hope is that a Judge never expunges his record/conviction.

Convicted felon should stay with him until he is looking @ the roots of the Daisies.

Hope he still has to pay restitution. IMHO this release and parole is a slap in the face of the Judicial system.

Don't foresee MUSL (LOL) ever hiring him again and no reputable firm will either.

Convicted lottery rigger Eddie Tipton was released from prison on Friday following a series of events that had his freedom in limbo.

According to the Iowa Department of Corrections online prison records, Eddie Tipton, 59, was released from prison in Clarinda, Iowa on parole.
