In Florida we don't have a map such as you described for Louisiana, but I wish we did.

That said, The Florida Lottery creates a report listing jackpot winners and loads it onto it's website.

That is true. In my state, the lottery website has a map of where winning tickets are sold. Most are sold in the southeastern part of the state(New Orleans and Baton Rouge), where most of the state's population is. More people, more retailers, more tickets sold.

There are winning tickets sold in smaller communities, but not as many as in the larger cities.

I often wondered why so many lottery winners are in California, then I read this article. It seems that every store or venue that sells products also sell lottery tickets. I was surprised to learn that CVS also sells tickets. In my state I have never seen a lottery vending machine in a CVS. Walmart only recently added lottery vending machines. Only certain grocery stores have lottery vending machines as well.

I read a comment from someone months ago. The person said the Powerball and Mega M... [ More ]

Some of these stories are amazing. The woman who went from recycling bottles and cans for money to 13 million dollars. And the gentleman who wrote on a vision board that he would buy a $30.00 scratch off and win 10 million. And proceeded to go out and do just that. That is fascinating.

One California mom recycled cans to buy a scratcher worth $13 million. Another winner was literally shoved into buying her winning ticket.

If 2021 was a good year for California lottery players, 2022 was even better. This year, Powerball's biggest prize a $2.04 billion jackpot went to the Golden State. Many more scratchers, Mega Millions, and Super Lotto Plus players in California became millionaires, too.

Over the past 12 months, the California Lottery changed the lives of more than 100... [ More ]
