How could it be harder than 6/49 whose odds are 1 in 13,983,816

On April 7, 2022, the number matrix was changed from 6/49 to 6/46,

the Double Play drawing was added, the Xtra multiplier was automatically added to every play,

and the ticket price was increased from $1 to $2 per play.

The optional Double Play feature costs an additional $1 per play.

You probably missed this when reading.

The article states The lottery player's entry for the jackpot-winning ticket was registered to an online account, which allows for the Lottery to reach out to a players who have won. Despite that, the only thing The Lott could do was urge players to check their tickets and wait for the winner to contact them instead.

So, even if you are a big winner and don't bother to check your ticket, the lottery will call and let you know.

I dunno guess I've become numb with the stupidity of lottery winners. My favourite is when they win they run back to the store and give the ticket to the clerk and say check this am I a winner

I agree, she should have taken a few minutes from her work to check her online ticket, especially since the lottery had repeatedly called her. It is nice that she did eventually call the lottery back and get her winnings.

Not sure why you would even think they were rerunning a story. Todd and Kate do not have any history of repeating the same stories. You may see similar stories, which is to be expecting since most of the stories deal with the everyday person and their joy of winning life-changing money. You may see follow-up stories dealing with people like Eddie Tipton and Lottery Lawyer Jason Kurland whenever additional info is made available. But you will never see a repeat story.

I would have thought it was a scam too. There has been a scam involving fake lottery winnings going around for years so it doesn't surprise me she didn't think it was real.
