Food stamps is not taxed, as nothing to do with IRS.....welfare that includes cash money being given is a different story. That is what you pay back with a win which is taken automatically, which is why this ad not adding up. Once you win and scan that ticket with ur social attached they in ur pocket no question ask. So I'm not believing this UNLESS they winners are scamming by getting others to cash the tickets for them....otherwise I don't believe ....

They not talking about that part, leaving winners still in need.

I can recall in 2015 I won 11G at the casino. I was on public assistance when my daughter was 11 years old(28 now show how long). That $1215 per week for a household of one works out to a whopping $14,580 per year. It's possible to live on that without some kind of assistance, but it's probably not possible to have a real place to live, health insurance, and an adequate supply of heal... [ More ]

If a law was passed that a person on government assistance could not play the lottery I can assure you these pots would never get to millions of dollars or even close. Those are the people that play more than the wealthy. I don't know if it's true or not but I have heard the lottery targets their advertising to the poorer areas. Any free handout , any government program will always have some abusers. Just be thankful you are not one of those who need it.
