I'm not sure if I could handle all the friends I'd make if I won the billion. If it is won tonight, it will be over $1billion once the final prize is determined.

Strikes me as unlikely. The decision to post a revised cash value was made based on a 15% increase over the initial sales prediction. Reaching an even billion would have required an increase of 24% over the revision they made sometime on Friday when they had over 2 days of actual sales for predicting the final total. Once again, they've been fortunate enough that when interest rates changed sales magically increased exactly enough for the advertised annuity to remain the same. Assuming that current cash value is realistic the annuity would have been bumped to about 991.5 if the interest rate hadn't changed.

If it rolls (about an 82% chance) it goes to $1.1 billion and $525 million cash.

It would be shocking to see Mississippi win a Mega Millions or Powerball lottery jackpot since Mississippi is new to the jackpot lotteries as of 2020. It seems like the more lottery vending machines a state has the better chance a state has of winning the jackpot. This is why California has won the most recent jackpots because the now have the most lottery vending machines in more locations than any other state in the US

It seems like when they jump up the jackpot around noonish. They're still not open yet in Headquarters from what I gather.

Mr. Obsessive Compulsive (a bit) called the Colorado Lottery because they had the jackpot off about $100 million dollars. They did fix it on their website.

Then two days ago the news here had the wrong jackpot. Said $997 million. Facsimile them; this time they didn't correct it next half hour but 6 p.m. news was correct.

Well at least Louisiana has had 17 Powerball jackpot winners. Some states have had no Powerball or Mega Millions jackpot winners at all. It seems like some states win more with either Powerball or Mega Millions

Does your state offer Double Play on Powerball? Found myself doing that vs Powerplay because of the $10 million prize on its own draw off of your original numbers.

Got to be in it to win it! Here goes my strategy for LP members! I only buy one ticket with the $3 option for each MM and PB! I only purchased 1 ticket for every odds! So if mega odds is 1 to 302 millions and Powerball is 1 to 292 million. I'll wait to jackpot levels $604 Million and $584 Million before I jump in. $23 million from a Billion...history dictates it'll increase to over that in time for Friday's drawing.
