Why would someone who won a $64M Canadian Lottery Tax Free invest in US 12 month treasury bills at 5.3% ?

Doesn't make sense

Besides,they look more like they're not the investing kind.

There was a guy in Iowa whom went on the news hoping to redeem a expired winning Powerball ticket he found worth $100K; it was a whole year later tho...He claimed due to COVID and the lottery said no because they were still open processing claims. Google it

Well, well, well, and here I am checking my tickets every morning after the previous nights draw.

You know why? Because I don't want to miss out on earning on my winnings.

The $47.26 M would have earned the winner $2.5 M in interest if the money was invested in US 12 month treasury bills at 5.3%

That is why if I win the jackpot I won't wait for 6 months or one year. I will be at the lottery headquarters the next week to collect my winning
