Knowing California these thieves are probably selling them on the street for a portion with a story about how they can't cash it because they owe taxes or back support., |When the people go to cash them in they find out different and the thief is long gone with their money.

They make us lottery players look like some crazy people.

For the thieves, it's not a lottery addiction, it's a drug addiction.

The lottery tickets are a way to get money to buy the drugs.

When such characters win the jackpot by some stroke of luck, the things they do make us lottery players look dumb.

I wish that more and more reasonable people win the lottery to change that narrative.

When will criminals ever learn that you can't cash stolen scratch offs? In every state, there is a mechanism for the state lottery to invalidate tickets from batches that are known to have been stolen.

Four individuals were arrested on Tuesday after they allegedly plowed a truck through a California convenience store to steal lottery tickets.

A San Francisco lottery retailer was left with thousands of dollars' worth of property damage after a truck slammed through the building to steal lottery tickets.
