Unlike half the population out there I know I don't know everything and always learning.

So to answer your question, yes, I admit when I'm proven wrong. Gauging from your responses though I'm positive I'm in the right direction.

To the best of my knowledge gaming features that are not available to players in their home states often leads them to travel to states where they can avail themselves of the benefits.

Vermonters will find a way to play it in another state. Buy a months worth in advance over the border if they are not close to one. Unless you live along rte. 100 it is 30 minutes to another state.

Your seeing it as a punishment gives me pause. And your prior comment indicates you disagree for political reasons and not logic.

I'd say it's up to the gambling industry to convince the lawmakers they can keep it responsible. Sometimes you gotta go with stick to get things done.

I hope the bill passes.

The use of money created from millions of dashed hopes for the education of young people can not be expected to bear with it a positive energy or blessings.

States must find alternate ways to fund public education and at the same time help its people to stop, think and wake up from verified delusions.

Nobody's forcing ppl to do heroin or cocaine either.

It's the addictive nature of it that's the problem. And data suggests the lower you are on the income scale the more likely you are to play lottery.

Same thing with credit scores as well. Low income individuals are the ones with bad credit scores but end up paying more for everything making it even more difficult if not impossible to get out.

Why do they want to control people playing the lottery?

It reminds me of the governor in my state (South Carolina) that doesn't like the lottery but wants the revenue from it. He wants to allow us to buy tickets with cash to increase sales. But won't allow online ticket sales like Georgia or North Carolina or improve the SC lottery like other states. Very regressive and archaic.

I hope their constituents vote them out of office.
