I can't speak for Pennsylvania. But the instant tickets in Maryland are horrendous. And they say there's so many grand prizes like 6 or whatever. Then when someone hits the first one. The game ends. It's very misleading.

It's my limited understanding that it's for instant tickets. Not draw games.

Targeting the 20$ tickets and up.

Based on what I've followed for the past few years . They have decreased the main Grand prize value for 10$ tickets from 1 million top prize now down to 500k . It's weird how they did the slow drip downwards In splicing the payouts.

new laws are to favor the state.. keep your eyes on the ball.. it's not about sharing .

They say they are going to increase payouts, but actually they increase the cost. We've heard this before they increased the prize of the mega and Powerball but also increasing the ball field size and the ticket cost. I was reading this waiting to hear the 3 digit prize will increase from $500 to $600, but that's not what they had in mind.

Legislation would free up funds for bigger prizes

By Kate Northrop

A Pennsylvania bill that would effectively increase lottery prize payouts to players is awaiting final approval on the Governor's desk.

Pennsylvania lottery players may be raking in larger prizes if House Bill 1058 passes, which would reduce the required profit margins the Pennsylvania Lottery is required to take in for state programs.

House Bill 1058 has officially passed both the Senate and House, now awaiting a... [ More ]
