maybe the winner knew the press release would have gendered language, so they told the whatever lottery personnel that they identified as female to throw the public off. the detail about her being a bears fan might also be fake. maybe she hates alaska too.

if i win big, i'm telling the press office that i love the cowboys, then live out the rest of my life wearing an eagles cap.

it definitely doesn't feel so anonymous being singled out as 1 biological sex versus not including any information at all. ...

I live in a city with almost a million people if I bought anything no one would notice but in a town of 20,000 plus people going to notice you in a brand new used car and clothes

How is the gender of the person driving a new car going to matter? Once you ignore the people under 18 about half of the people will be married, mostly to somebody of the opposite gender... [ More ]

Just about every press release issued by a lottery includes the gender of the anonymous winner. This is nothing new, and seems more of a personal grievance on your end. Most people think what is written is normal.

Well luck for the anonymous female winner. I am not sure why the Indiana Lottery felt the need to include male or female along side anonymous but it definitely doesn't feel so anonymous being singled out as 1 biological sex versus not including any information at all.

Winner employed tactic used by dozens of other winners but emerges the most successful

The Hoosier Lottery has awarded half of a $143 million Powerball jackpot to an LLC after the winner came forward with a similar story that dozens of other winners in the drawing had to tell.

One Indiana resident claimed a $71.7 million share of a $143 million Powerball lottery jackpot last week, becoming the 40th Powerball jackpot winner in Hoosier Lottery history.
