Speaking of spying on everyone, not many people know about the Microsoft GDID global device identifier which is in Windows and can't be shut off or spoofed.

It literally tracks you all over the Internet and there is nothing you can do about it except maybe switch away from Windows.

Josh Gottheimer isn't exactly hiding the fact he wants a Federal law requiring Online gamblers to use facial recognition to prove they are an adult when placing wagers. I agree, and Common Sense Media seems to consider loot boxes in video games to be gambling , which is utterly preposterous.

Organizations like that construct the statistics in a way that ensures there will always be the bad things in existence, so they can stay in operation perpetually.

Big brothers goal is to track or monitor everything you do at all times. It always starts with something small, under the guise of safety or convenience. Ads based on your on line searches, GPS in your car, your card purchases, smart thermostats, and so on.

Someone will find a way to get around the facial recognition on those gambling sites. It won't take long.

Not to sound like a couple of our conspiracy obsessed members but I am pretty certain facial recognition is already in operation for the majority of people and most (or perhaps all) of us are already in a database. We are all on multiple cameras every time we leave home so not certain why this new database scan is really needed.

I personally never used online casinos or betting websites. I just do not see children or teens being interested in this stuff. Seems like a way for them to collect more data.

I remember when certain social media websites wanted to require proof of age if AI detected that you were not an adult. It just seems like an invasion of privacy.

The whole thing about protecting kids from gambling is BS. In order to bet on Kalshi or other trading/gambling platform, the kid would need access to real money. So basically the only way a kid is going to gamble is if they produced their own money, or if they somehow got a hold of their parents' login. (Assuming the parents have established an online gambling account.)

I was a teenager in the 70's , we didn't have money for gambling, we needed it for smokes and Boones Farm. But , my point, they ( Politicians ) stopped Cigarette makers from advertising , no tv, no magazine, no more billboards. Did it stop smokers, maybe some.

This bill would just encourage parents to be less responsible and pay less attention to their children

If anything, the correct bill would hold parents responsible for their kids gambling and require consequences for the parents.
