I have a story very similar to this, but it didn't make the news. Probably because the original thief couldn't be identified. I am assuming they sold it or gave it to someone else to cash who stayed quiet for some odd reason. I dropped it in a blue postal box outside of the post office, so the only hands it could be touched by were postal and lottery staff.

OMG. That post office is the worse in that city . Everyone in there should be investigated. For real. It gives vibes.

I'm sure shady snip goes on there, DAILY!!!!

Lots of packages that goes missing end up there, and when you show up with an ID, they ask for more than enough IDs, as if one isn't enough.

And that brings up an interesting point. Don't know how many people handle envelopes addressed to a state lottery, but it's not hard to guess what's inside it. Wonder how many state and federal refund checks are stolen every year.

Mail carriers stealing is nothing new. The last time a credit card company sent me a new card it was stolen and used a few miles from where I live.

So I'm assuming the suspect noticed something pinkish in the white envelope and took her shot.

I once mailed a winning lottery ticket to Tallahassee, but I put it inside a folded sheet of paper to make it inconspicuous.

Obviously she needs therapy and she always dream of winning the Lottery but She found a back door to win but unfortunately it was illegal win Well she had the excitement for a while

Lakaysha....was it really worth it? Certainly you'll be prosecuted and who knows if the Feds will indict her too...tampering with US Mail.

USPS will probably, if they haven't already, terminate her. Life long repercussions for a stupid choice. Good luck finding a well paying job in the future
