Love this for him, congrats. I like stories where someone just buys one ticket and gets a jackpot or something juicy. Some people (me included} have a tight budget for the lottery so this proves you can win by playing within your means.

And he is a scanner like me. Just imagine scanning a ticket and seeing $1,000,000 pop up. Confused about the go to the lottery message. The only thing I can think of is their self service scratch machines have a built in scanner that is unable to display... [ More ]

A jammed lottery vending machine wasn't about to stop one Maryland man from getting his ticket, which ended up being a winner for a $1 million prize.

A Maryland lottery player was insistent he get his ticket after making a purchase at a vending machine and witnessing it freeze up.
