It's wild the number of stories you hear where someone gives a claimer to a clerk.

Scan the ticket using your state lottery app.

AND/OR

Scan the ticket yourself at the store.

$599 or $600 is the max you can get from a retailer in a lot of states. There are some exceptions, so confirm with your state lottery and don't give a ticket to a retailer if it must be claimed at the lottery office.

Customer realized he had no money to pay for his pop so he gave the clerk some tickets he was sure had some money on them. He's lucky the clerk didn't say hey there's a $20.00 winner , here's your $18.00 change, Thank You come again
