John,I agree as far as NY goes. The salary should be higher for one of the biggest lotteries in the country. However, it is OK for a small state lottery without many of their own games (like Vermont, Nebraska, etc.).

I am saying that $137,00.00 is to low for the position and the work required ands rebecca is to far up on the scale plus the bonus money.

Ms Palumbo needs to make major changes here, like a better prize return in Lotto, the ability for players to choose AFTER winning, and a moritorium on annuity-only scratch games.

For the amount of money N.Y. state takes in on the lottery a salary of $137,00.00 is not in line with other states. Rebecca Paul is robbingTennessee.

Niskayuna resident Nancy Palumbo has been named to head New York state's Division of the Lottery.Palumbo replaces Margaret DeFrancisco in the $137,000 job. DeFrancisco will take over as head of the Georgia State Lottery.Since 1999 Palumbo's been the executive deputy commissioner in charge of finance and administration for the state Office of Parks Recreation and Historic Preservation.
