Large Powerball jackpots helped fuel lottery ticket sales of nearly $1 billion in South Carolina for the fiscal year that ended June 30.After payouts of $552 million in prizes, the state was left with about $270 million. According to unaudited revenue statements, the state has $17 million more than expected to help pay for college scholarships.The report will be final by October 1st.
