VA's Cash 5 does let you pick you bet amount, but the top prize is proportional to your bet amount. $0.25 pays $25,000 for matching 5 of 5. $0.50 pays $50,000 for matching 5 of 5. $1.00 pays $100,000 for matching 5 of 5. I'm not saying that picking your bet amount is a bad thing. In fact I think picking your bet amount is a good thing. I'm just saying that picking your bet amount has its drawbacks.

I'm not going to say Maryland's bonus match 5 is the best game but if you win the 50 grand it's tax free. It's the only reason i like it. I wouldn't play if we had to pay the tax on the win. Now all i gotta do is not spend 60 grand trying to win it. LOLOh and allmost forgot you get 3 games for the price of two. Still it's not an easy game to win the top prize as evident by the number of tickets they report as winners from month to month.

Yeah the Bonus ball makes it tough to hit the jackpot in the California Lotto...But there are 9 other ways to win, and you win even if you match one ball plus the Mega-Number, so you at least usually get your money back to play again!I remember when the California Lottery used to be 6/49 and no mega number-- Much easier to win back then, Texas looks like good odds but what is the Jackpot payoff

I live in California so I play the California State Super Lotto Plus Game. It's a big lotto compared to most states, it always starts at $7 Million and rolls over every time there is no jackpot winner.I haven't won the Jackpot yet though

Write the game on a monthly basis and ask for the jackpot to rolldown into the lower tier prizes when there is no jackpot win for the draw. In Florida when the 5/36 has no jackpot winner the 4# prize is around a grand which really makes for an interesting game. BobP

i think the pick five ought to pay out at least a thousand or so instead of a hundred or so when you match four outta five,just like if you had four outta five plus the powerball,that should be worth much more than five thousand,the runner up prizes simply don't pay like they should in my view.....

i also have a strategy and it can get disheartning when in the five number games when you get four outta five i did this twice in one week just here recently.so close you wouldn't believe.most people would be happy i get irritated,i'd much rather win 200,000 than 200 anyday,they should at least pay a thousand if you get four outta five don't you think.

Playing the lottery is a gamble no matter how you look at it. You gamble that your picks will beat the odds. From checking Illinois website on a daily basis I see that a lot of people win with quick picks. So I would play 2 quick picks and maybe 3 of my own selections. Try looking at their number history and see if you can follow how the numbers are coming out you just might pick up on something. Gameboy why not play LIL lotto in Illinois the jackpot starts at 100,000 and grows till someone hits it then starts back at 100,000 And you don't have to travel to another state.

The Florida Fantasy 5/36 is a very good game and I play it regular mainly because the 6/53 odds are so hard to beat. Even so I prefer a Pick-6 game because the wheels cover so much more.I did forget to mention when lower odds games have rollovers they can suddenly have a major game prize at small game odds.
