Thank you, Todd.I think I know what I should do now...........I have been looking at the Excel help files............besides, my husband will be home in about 3 hours and can help me.Have a good weekend. I didn't post a reply to your nice note in Lottery Discussion. That was a very nice gesture to post it. I am glad that you enjoy working on the site. Work should be fun. My husband says that when work becomes work and not fun, he is retiring........good reasoning I think.

Sandy,There are built-in functions for those things.For example, for the median of a cells a1 - a2000, you would use =MEDIAN(A1:A2000). Same for =AVERAGE(A1:A2000). For skip average , I'm not sure what you mean.

I had this formula once but when my hard drive went kapoot...I lost it......I want to do some research for the next 3 weeks or so and I need a couple formulas......................I would appreciate any help.I need the formula for the Median of a number.I am doing it on root sums.......I have them in 9 columns..............1-9I want to go to the root sum 1 (example cell A)....................and rows 1:2000.................could you tell methe formula of how to get the median of root sum of 1?Al...
