Thanks for your info. I downloaded the software and took a look. It runs different from the older versions which took a long time to make their selections, the new version picks instantly.If anything was happening in the older version, I guess it wasn't winning hence the change.The place to test is the box that tells you the numbers the line builder will be picking from. Maryland's bonus match 5 is done like BobP says and I don't use the bonus ball for tracking purposes or include it in my selections. Now this can be a problem for you if your worried that the bonus ball will somehow affect the next draw by showing up in the main 5 numbers for the next draw/draws. Since you cant really select the bonus ball and it only counts if you have 2/3/4 numbers and it helps get you some additional money. A bonus ball helps you win by providing an additional chance and comes from the same hopper.
