I see that the powerball has been running in the double digits since 1/12/05. I just think it may dip down under 12 for at least one game then go back up even higher. hypersoniq,I have to agree with plnwebguy. I'd say that the next red Powerball number will be higher than twelve simply because it's odds-on (2 to 5) in favor of it. You're entirely right that any number can come up, but the mathematical odds are the only realistic insight for me. I can't see any real law or logic in simply relying on what has happened in the past. I said above mainly because there are more numbers above 12 than below or equal to, so I think the odds are better it will be higher.

I will say Higher than 12 using past history as a guideline...in the current matrix, 12 has been drawn 4 times, the last 3 times were as follows10/30/02 PB 1211/02/02 PB 3412/18/04 PB 1212/22/04 PB 1801/01/05 PB 1201/05/05 PB 37based on this, I would begin choosing a powerball by picking a Higher number than 12, knowing full well that ANY number from 1-42 could come up... it's at least a starting point...
