CO: MM has discussed with CA the possibility of going to a $250,000 second prize. Powerball was looking at going to $200,000.

When California joins in June or whenever, I feel lengthening the jackpot odds (along with better OVERALL odds) is the correct thing to do. We may see higher starting jackpots, a fixed (remember CA requires pari-mutuel prizes) $250,000 second prize; there may also be a new 2+0 category should the new version be 5/71 + 1/17. Trust me, a new version of Mega Millions would still be better than NY Lotto 6/59.
