I'm not sure what the average jackpot increase is. It seems to be just a few million when the jackpot is low, and increases as the jackpot increases - especially once the jackpot reaches $100 million.

thanks for the info guys. but i guess in the end it doesnt matter what the jackpot is, i'll be playing on wed whether its 100 million or 10 million. but what i'd like to know is how much on average does the jackpot increase between drawings

You should always check USA Mega for both Powerball and Mega Millions info. It is very clearly spelled out on the Home page exactly how many winners there were, and from where.

Hi I'm new to playing the powerball lottery. I played on feb 12th and unfortunately didnt hit the jackpot. However, I'm wondering why the jackpot which was 41 million is now only 10 million. No one hit all five white balls and the powerball. There were two people who had the five white balls correct, but failed to guess the powerball correctly.
