As an alternative to betting online, I would simply like all states to be able to allow non-state residents to purchase season tickets . It's high time the fed's did away with the law that prdvents you from mailing un-expired lottery tickets across state lines.

I dont see it as a good idea (for certain states). As loosing Jeff pointed out that people in corrupt states would start playing online in states with better payout ratio. Small states would also loose the revenue they setup the lotteries for in the first place.I would love it if this became a reality since it would give me the freedom to play anywhere I want. But I also understand the counter argument and agree with it.

Oh I'd love that! Then I'd get to play Lotto South, Super Lotto Plus, that 25 game in WV, and IL Lotto and Little Lotto.If that would happen I do have a question. Would u actually pick the state u wanna play mega millions or powerball in or would u just be able to play on their website

I wouldn't agree that is a good idea, becauseas it stands now you can play online for mostlotteries and collect tax free. However, if itbecame a legal entity to play online, then many stateswould want to get a tax payment from your winnings,even if you are playing outside your home state. I amsure IL for one would want to collect taxes.

It would be good for some states, and bad for others. If people had their choice of any lottery, they would choose the one with the best games. And corrupt lotteries like IN would see a chunk of their player going to the computer to play in FL or some other state.

wouldn't it be nice if sometime in the future we were able to bet online legally for any state and the money went to that state and everyone was able to do this
