I usually spend less time planning when the jackpot is over $100 Million than under...and I really don't know exactly why. I guess it might be because over $100 M, I often fall back on play-5-sets in a 3:2 my-picks vs quick-picks ... three previously played old favorites and two new qps. It only takes about 30 seconds to fill out that card. Ever since Powerball was won in March of 2003 using that same 3:2 ratio, it's been a habit for me. 1 hour seems to be a good limit...that's when i usually get my good picks and then i try to overshoot it and lose out.

Voted for less than 30 minutes.....When you have software to crunch the numbers it takes so much less time. If you can program software to automate your selection method. Then there is no need to spend additional time interpreting the data.I can justify additional time spent if working on multiple drawfiles for other states.

I've spent probably 1,000-1,500 hours in the last year setting up my system on excel for jackpot games in NY and CT. Draw analysis takes about 3-4 hours before each drawing. I need another hobby.

I've always wondered if I'm the only crazy one that spends over an hour before each drawing I buy a ticket for doing my thing and trying to get numbers! I spend 1-2 hours on my system . Usually the time spent clearing is valuable and I do get closer picks. When I'm distracted and don't spend the time, I usually don't get anything right. only playing (1) quick pick for every drawing affords me time for other time consuming pursuits.not just because i totally stink at math, but because i go by the if i am meant to, i will. if i am not, i won't . so the (1) quick pick does it for me...20/20

As a hobby I am always working on a strategy to win a game even if I'm not playing it at the time, so when I decide to play it just a matter of keying in the appropriate numbers, making out my cards and playing which takes about 40 minutes. RJOh

Usually I spent something like two hours analyzing.I must confess Lotto Sorcerer do the job just as well using just 5 seconds.As you've seen from my blog I've tested it for 6 weeks and I think it looks promising.If the program continues to do well, I might buy it. I don't want to wait for Lottosync 1.8 which probably is still several months away from being finished.

GoArmy: That's my life, except my wife I spend the 17 hours cursing.When I started studying lotteries, I would spend 2+ hours pouring over everything before picking numbers. Much of that time was figuring out a routine, and it gradually got faster as the system developed. I spend a tremendous amount of time creating, adjusting and modifying my spreadsheet, but when it comes down to picking the numbers, am in and out in less then 30 minutes (humm...interesting...like my sex life...not winning at lottery or getting any...reckon a few extra minutes would help any?).Sir MetroOf course I know what I am doing...now if I can just persuade those little ping pong balls to fall exactly as I predict, everyone else would know just how smart I am.

I was thinking of asking it myself a few weeks ago. The first time I charted #'s, I spent about 6 hours lol. But of course since I now have it organized I would say total time (not including me breaks to eat me big azz burgers) of about 1-2 hours.

I start crunching my midday plays about an hour and a half before the draw, while I'm supposed to be working. LOL. An in the evening I come home log in to L.P. and let it ride till about nine p.m. and rush to buy my tickets. I never rule anyting out beacuse when look at the predication page results it seems someone usually has predicted the winner for IL. and it's just the matter of me recongizing it. So keep those posts and picks coming. Thanks everybody for your input.
