Some of our Winn Dixie stores are about to dissapear too. They are closing a bunch of their stores because the company is restructuring. The grocery industry here is taking a big hit from Super WalMart, and they don't sell lottery tickets(although our now defunct Super KMart did).I still use supermarkets to cash some tickets. I've won $50 a couple of times, so go to a supermarket to cash them since convenience stores don't keep a big amount in the register. I once tried to cash a $20 ticket... [ More ]

I usually use convenience stores for mine because it's usually quicker. Seems like when I go to supermarkets, they are so slow. I've tried buying tickets at Albertson's and Winn Dixie and both customer service counters take a long time. I like the drive thru I go to. The tickets are on display in the window and it's really neat. Don't even have to get out of the car. They don't sell many tickets though. Don't know why. I've won a good bit of $$ from them.

I hate the stores with long lines and hateful cashiers. That drives me nuts. I ask for 4 $10 tickets and they say god I hope you don't blow all your money this way. I tell them I'll spend my money however I choose. One cashier even said I need to call G.A. just for buying $50 in tickets for my friends and myself. (15 friends took a pool for powerball a few weeks ago).

I go to the small convience store near where I live. Many stores give you a hard time even with no line if you want to purchase $40 or more in tickets. I just go to the stores where the people in them actually know how to use the lottery machine and seem to have a brain.
